We were on a business road trip from Texas and decided to have dinner at this well-rated establishment. Everything we ate was fantastic and the service was top notch. We ordered a Big Green Pimp burger, a monte cristo, grilled wings, and collard greens. The burger was flavorful and generously sized. The monte cristo sandwich was a solid pick and big enough to share. The greens were sweet and spicy and GOOD! The best of all were the grilled wings: juicy and crispy and . Go ahead and get 2 orders while you're there. Our server Montana was top tier. He recommended menu items, and even told us to check out the local landmark Vulcan Park. We'll be back next time we're in Birmingham!

Small, hole in the wall place to grab some excellent food at great prices!!! Bought food for 3 people, spent $75 total, including tip! Thoroughly impressed! I had the "Slabtown Soul Plate", my wife had the "Crab Cake BLT", with fries. Neither of us had to season ANYTHING!! 11/10 do recommend!!

So glad we stopped here for lunch on the way back to ATL. Our server was so nice! All the servers gave off that classic southern kindness that makes you miss home. The place was full of customers so we knew we made the right choice. The whole family loved their meals; the tater tots were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend making it "bomb" style tots. The gingerbread cookie cocktail was delicious. We can't wait to come back

Service was fantastic. We went for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. I had the Rueben and onion straws-delicious!! Husband had their wings which were cooked to perfection… along with the amazing ranch dressing! Daughter had their grilled chicken salad. When we are back in town, we’ll definitely return.

I wish I would have found this place sooner! The food is absolutely delicious. We started with the Bomb Fries—ordered the blue cheese on the side since I’m not usually a fan, but wow. It turned out to be more like a blue cheese queso dip, and it paired perfectly with the buffalo sauce on the fries. Totally changed my mind. For the main, we shared the Slabtown Soul plate, and it was plenty for two after the appetizer. Huge shoutout to the staff for bringing it out already split into two bowls—pro move. This dish has everything: creamy grits, Conecuh sausage, Nashville hot chicken, and greens. The chicken was juicy with that spicy-sweet kick, balanced beautifully with the sweetness of the grits and the tang of the greens. And Conecuh sausage? If you know, you know. Overall, an excellent lunch and such a great experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!
